Andi Knaup was working for 10 years (1990-2000) as creative in major advertising agencies (Saatchi & Saatchi, Young & Rubicam, the last 4 years of wich as CD at Scholz & Friends), before joining in 2000 as a freelance director and concept developer. Since then, he realized (in many cases also developed) commercials, viral videos, tv shows, tv series, music- tv, music videos, image- and product films and shorts. In the course of his advertisers and film makers life, he was responsible for hundreds of spots – often including a complex postproduction.
Knaup used to work in many countries all over the world such as Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Dubai, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Honduras, Italy, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA…
With his passion, sense and know how for music he was involved in countless researches, compositions and productions of commercial pieces of music so far.
Over the years he also often was responsible for some of the tougher fields like comedy, celebrities, kids and animals 😉
